Allstate recently unveiled two new online interactive auto insurance-related tools on Allstate.com that answer common questions in plain English and help consumers better understand their insurance needs. Bumper-to-Bumper BasicsSM is an interactive, video-enhanced guide that quickly helps consumers assess their state-specific auto insurance needs, and Ballpark Estimator allows users to remain anonymous while obtaining an estimated auto insurance quote from Allstate.

The Allstate Corporation (NYSE: ALL) today reported that the company has received over 7,000 claims from the Southern California wildfires in October of this year, resulting in approximately $315 million to $335 million in wildfire-related catastrophe losses to be recorded in fourth quarter 2007.

Car crashes are the No. 1 killer of teens, taking nearly 6,000 lives a year, and the holiday season is a deadly time for teen drivers. But that hasn't stopped a group of teens from spreading good cheer and some smart driving messages. Through one of the first contests of its kind coined "Holiday Holla," Danny Luebke and Carl Turner, both 18 from New Prague, Minn., won $15,000, courtesy of The Allstate Foundation, and were recognized for their creativity in being smart driving advocates.

Throughout the dangerous holiday driving season, hundreds of teen drivers will be involved in automobile accidents. Allstate Insurance Company urges parents to give a gift that could help their teens arrive home safely for the holidays by completing a parent-teen driving contract available at www.allstate.com/teen.
